WebJan 11, 2024 · I don’t think it works as a movie, but, as a part of Hilda, the Mercury Filmworks animated series, it’s a high point. Per usual, the animation is gorgeous. Fluid and emotive, malleable and timed with precision. Watch how they animate Hilda when she becomes a troll, how they handle her play, letting her marvel at her new weight and dexterity.
