I have some experience with DaVinci Resolve, but I find it a bit overwhelming and would prefer something more simple. Ideally, I am looking for video editing software that has templates built-in like the ones on wave.video website. WebLightroom is a great tool for organization and photo enhancement. It can do some local adjustments (dodging/burning) but it won't handle your need for "heavy lifting" like photo montages or layering. Gimp or Photoshop will, however, handle those. I'll try Lightroom to start with some photo enhancement.
