The first 2-3 miles were pretty mellow compared to what was to come. Then we started hitting some of the steeper pitches in the woods - I could really feel it in my calves.

There are a few small washouts and the trail is overgrown to the point where you can't see where you are stepping in a lot of places. Lots of alder creeping over the tread. Both trails were snow free.
